When considering a dog door, there are a variety of options available, each with their own benefits and detriments. One option is to add a dog door into a wall, allowing your pet to go in and out while still having full use of your doors. Another option is a sliding glass door panel, giving pets the doggie door freedom without permanently altering the appearance of your home. Both options have their own setbacks: a wall insert requires cutting a hole into your wall that becomes permanent while the door panel impacts the use of a sliding glass door by reducing the size of the door’s opening. However, there is another option available: in-glass dog doors.

Just as it sounds, an in-glass dog door is a dog door that is set within a sliding glass door’s glass panel. This option of dog door allows full use of the sliding glass door without adding holes in the walls of your home. Even when the dog door is locked, the sliding glass door is fully functional.

With in-glass dog doors, you can choose to put the dog door on the sliding panel or the stationary panel, on the left or the right. In-glass dog doors can even be put in French doors or sidelights. Choose from one of four sized doors, making sure it is perfect for your pet!
